Craft Course

I would love to learn so many crafts but lack the time to seek them out, register and then actually attend them on a regular basis. With craftsy, learning new craft skills is easy and convenient. They have a complete catalog of courses at Mom’s fingertips and she can attend them whenever and however is most convenient for her.

Craftsy is celebrating Moms everywhere with a Make it Great sales event. You can get up to $20 off all online classes from categories such as Jewelry & Paper Crafts, Cake Decorating & Cooking or Photography & Art. The Make it Great event lasts through midnight on May 11th.

Give to Children in Need in Her Name

What mom doesn’t have a soft spot for a child who needs help? Warm her heart with a donation to a charitable organization in her honor. There are many out there to choose from but two of my personal favorites are Compassion International and No Kid Hungry.

Good Ol’ Gift Cards

If all things fail, you can always send a gift card via email from stores like Target or Amazon.

I hope this list helps you find just the right gift for Mom that will let her know just how special she is…even if you forgot to get her a gift until the day before! :o)

Worship Wednesday – Good Morning {Mandisa}

this is the song that introduced me to Christian music. I remember hearing it and thinking it sounded different from what my perception of what Christian music was and from then on my radio dial has been tuned to K-love.

worship wednesday

The girls love this and I made sure to find it on iTunes so it’s always on my phone. It’s a great song for impromptu dance parties in the car and to perk up my mornings on our drive into daycare and work.

I couldn’t find an official video for the song on YouTube but I did find this video of her performance on Good Morning America.

Worship Wednesday – Do Something {Matthew West}

Very often in my commute, I’ll be rocking out, listening to K-LOVE and think “I really needed to hear that song”.

Then I started thinking, someone else probably needs to hear them too.

So I’m going to start “Worship Wednesday” and share a worship song that I’m really feeling.

worship wednesday

With the unrest in Baltimore and natural disaster in Nepal, I think many feel helpless. That we are living in a world that is too far gone.

But then I think of Ellen Turner, a local woman who spent the last days of her life serving others. Because that’s what God wants us to do.

Something.

We can all do something.
