Time for running errands is at a premium for me. It is pretty much limited to my lunch breaks or weekends.
When I do go to the store to pick up something, nothing can frustrate me more than not finding the item I’m looking for, the size I need or color I want. While I suppose in some instances I could get my second choice, more often than not I leave the store empty handed.
What a waste of time!! So frustrating!!
Well, no more!!!
Time is valuable so I found a way to protect mine from those fruitless trips to the store. The way I do that is….
In Store Pickup
Tons of retailers offer this as an option on their websites. The favorites in our family are Home Depot, Lowes Home Improvement, Babies/Toys R Us, Kohls, Best Buy & Target. They will typically have their items available within hours, faster than even Amazon Prime!!! Wal-Mart & JCPenney have Ship to Store options but typically have a longer wait time.
The process is generally super simple. When you place your order online, you chose In-Store Pickup as your Shipping option and designate the location where you’d like to pick it up. You’ll get an email confirmation of your order and another email when it’s available to be claimed. Head to the store and go to either Customer Service or a designated Pick up Area (there will be signs). It will help to have your order number handy and you’ll definitely want your ID and the credit card used to pay for the order. Before you know it, you’ll have those items in hand and the rest of your lunch break to actually eat lunch!!!
Now through 10/17/15, you’ll save $10 at Target when you spend $75 on select items online and select In-Store Pickup!!
I love taking advantage of this for those things you need quicker than can be shipped but don’t have time to run to multiple stores to find. It’s such a time and sanity saver!!!
