It’s Hump Day and that means Working Mommy Wednesday!!! Today’s prompt: How do you carve out personal time for yourself?
Like most working moms, I tend to feel like if I’m not at work I should be with Brooke. Making up for lost time if you will.
Then one day, I stopped at home to get library books on the way to pick up Brooke at daycare. As I was leaving, it occurred to me that I could do this every day and have a little Brooke-free time.
So that’s become part of my daily routine. I use the time to get dinner prepped, laundry folded or just sit for a bit and watch TV. It’s not a big chunk of time, about 40 minutes or so, but its enough for me to decompress from my work day and get in a little quiet time.
How do make sure you get some personal time?
That’s great you are taking advantage of that time. It’s even better that you are appreciating it, even if it’s only 40 minutes or so!

40 minutes works for me! Sounds like a nice way to spend the afternoon and I’m sure you still find a way to get dinner done. Good for you!!
